1. Tropical Rainforest Exhibit

This is where the Underwater World begins. Follow the winding track through the man-made tropical rainforest and see species such as : 

  • Flamingoes 
  • Ruddy Shelduck
  • Pheasant and Cockatoo 
  • Doves and Macaws
  • Fish species such as Giant Gourami, Knife fish, and Arowana
  • Turtles and the little cute Marmoset.

2. Temperature Section of Underwater World Langkawi

See the playful fur seals frolic in the glass enclosure. You can watch them play underwater and above on the rocks. After here you can walk through an 8-meter tunnel underwater and see the amazing African Penguins. The exhibit lets you see them in their natural habitat and has feeding time shows on at certain times. 

Feeding times for African penguins are 11 am and 2:45 pm.

3. Sub-Antarctic Section 

After catching the feeding time of the African Penguins you will head to the Rock Hopper Penguins area. Rockhopper penguins are odd-looking characters and they jump from rock to rock. They are also the smallest of the crested penguins. 

Feeding times for the Rockhopper are 11:15 am and 3:00 pm. 

4. Tunnel Tank Exhibit

One of the highlights of your visit is sure to be the breathtaking 15-meter-long tunnel, where you can marvel at sharks, giant stingrays, groupers, and green turtles gracefully swimming above you. As you wander through this impressive structure, you'll feel like you're exploring the depths of the ocean itself.

But the adventure doesn't stop there.

5. The Koi Pond Area

Here the walkway will take you into the sunlight once more and into a beautiful tropical setting. 

A waterfall flowing into a freshwater pond will greet you while you pass over a little wooden bridge. In the pond, you will see the Japanese Carp, some Sultan fish, and Cichlids.

6. Coral Reef Section

Underwater World Opening Times 

Planning your visit is easy, with opening hours from 10:00 to 18:00 on Mondays to Sundays, and extended hours during public and school holidays. Children aged 0-2 can enter free of charge, while those aged 3-12 will be charged as children. Additionally, senior citizens aged 60 years and above can avail themselves of discounted tickets with proper documentation.

Where is Underwater World Located?

The Underwater world is located at the southern end of Pantai Cenang and is situated next to the Zon Duty-free SHop. This is approximately 15 km from the airport.
